Using Credit Card Rewards

The other night I was wondering how I was going to pay for the rest of the Christmas gifts we need to buy. Starting in December, our medical insurance premium is going up which means I will have a smaller paycheck coming home. Thankfully I have shopped year round and have most of the gift buying done. However, there are always a few last minute things to buy.

All of the sudden it hit me; check my credit card points! I have had a Capital One credit card for years and have never cashed out the points. When I logged into my account I had 29,000 miles (points).  I was able to score a $100 Amazon gift card, $50 Target gift card and a $25 Starbucks gift card! These cards will be shipped to me within the next two weeks.

If you have a credit card or you use Swagbucks, make sure you login to your account and redeem those points! I am beyond thrilled to know that I can pay for the rest of Christmas with free gift cards!

We’re doing the same thing…we usually save up our points all year round and cash in around December to help pay for Christmas…I will be getting a $400 dollar Wells Fargo Visa Gift Card to finish up my Christmas shopping or…to help pay expenses on our trip up North for Christmas with our family! Its nice to get something back from all the money we spend.
