Veteran’s Day Freebies & Offers 2012

Veteran’s Day is November 11th although it is being observed on November 12th at many locations. There are several freebies and offers available for Veterans and those currently serving in the military. Make sure you pay attention to the dates of participation as they do vary!

Applebee’s Veteran’s Day Free Meal – Sunday, November 11, 2012 – Veteran’s will receive one free meal from the Applebee’s Veteran’s Day Menu for any person who has ever served in the U.S. military or is on current active duty. To receive your free meal, visit your local Applebee’s and provide proof of military service. Examples include a U.S. Uniform Service ID card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID card, current Leave and Earnings statement, photograph in uniform, a veterans organization card such as American Legion or VFW, a DD214, or come in uniform. Check your local Applebee’s for participation. Dine in only, beverage and gratuity not included.

BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse Veteran’s Day Freebies– Sunday, November 11, 2012 – Veterans and active duty military personnel will receive a free lunch entree or one-topping mini or individual pizza.

Bar Louie Free Veteran’s Day Lunch or Dinner – Sunday, November 11, 2012 – Monday, November 12, 2012 – Veterans and active duty personnel can choose any meal on their menu $11 or less absolutely free. These meals are dine in only. Beverages and gratuity are not included. This promotion cannot be combined with any other offers. Must provide proof of military service.

Big Lots 10% Veteran’s Discount – Saturday, November 10, 2012 – Veterans and active duty personnel will receive a 10% discount on regular price and clearance items. Participants must provide military identification.

Golden Corral Veteran’s Day Free Meal – Monday, November 12, 2012 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – One free meal for any person who has ever served in the U.S. military or is on current active duty. To receive your free meal, visit any Golden Corral location. No identification is required.

Home Depot Veteran’s Discount – Home Depot offers and an ongoing 10% Veteran’s discount.

The Home Depot offers a year-round, 10 percent discount, up to a $500 maximum, at our U.S. stores to all active duty military personnel, reservists, retired or disabled veterans and their immediate families. We offer this discount to thank them for their outstanding service to this nation and to help make their homes more comfortable and safe. Customers requesting the discount should present a valid military ID.

In addition, a 10 percent discount is also offered in recognition of Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day and Veterans Day at all U.S. Home Depot stores for all other military veterans.

Hooter’s Veteran’s Day Free Wing Special – Sunday, November 11, 2012 – Hooter’s will give 10 boneless wings to any veterans or active military personnel. Participants must provide proof and MUST purchase a drink.

Hyvee Free Veteran’s Day Breakfast – Monday, November 12, 2012 – Veterans and active duty personnel can go into any Hyvee store with in-store dining and receive a free breakfast from the breakfast buffet. You must call Hyvee to confirm participation.

Tim Horton’s Veteran’s Day Free Donuts – Sunday, November 11, 2012 – Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop is giving all active and inactive U.S. military veterans a free donut in an effort to thank them for their service and dedication to their country. No purchase is necessary. Veterans need to either be in uniform or show their military ID when they visit a Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop.
