Winter For a Day

We have had a very mild winter here in Central Virginia. Capt. M has been asking “when is it going to snow” since October. We have had a few flurries here and there but today was the first real snow this winter.

Even our dogs were excited to play in the snow! The black dog in the picture is our ten year old border collie lab mix named Sydney. She was in high spirits sprinting through the snow like a puppy!

Hubby was the sled stopper so the boys wouldn’t run into the trees. That is a very important job as they seem to always head that way!

Mr. B is 3 1/2 years old and couldn’t get enough of those snowflakes!

And Capt. M age 5 had the biggest smiles and the sweetest laugh!

The boys will probably get a little more play time in the snow in the morning before it melts. It’s still snowing now and we have about 5 inches on the ground. But the weather changes tomorrow and it’s supposed to be near 50 degrees!

In my opinion, this is the best kind of snow. Here today, gone tomorrow afternoon!
