Seasonal allergies are in full swing here in Central Virginia. I suffer from allergies every Spring and Fall. In the spring the pollen from the blooming oak trees gets me and the fall menace is ragweed. Besides sinus congestion, I tend to get terrible allergies in my eyes. Itchy, watery and red eyes are prevalent in my household during allergy season.

I have found that allergy eye drops relieve the symptoms of allergy eyes. I recently used VISINE®-A® Eye Allergy Relief and it was instant relief from itchy eyes! Just place one or two drops in each eye up to four times a day for relief. VISINE®-A® Eye Allergy Relief Eye Drops combine an antihistamine with a redness reliever to temporarily relieve eye itchiness and redness, helping eyes get back to normal.

Hubby also suffers from allergy eyes. Since he wears contacts he has to be careful about using eye drops. The good news is contact wearers can use VISINE®-A®, but the contacts need to be removed. Hubby can simply take out his contacts, put in the drops, wait 15 minutes and then continue wearing his contacts again.

  • Wash linens and clothes regularly
  • Keep windows shut to keep out pollen and other outdoor allergens
  • Check the pollen count before going outside each day – pollen counts tend to be highest 5 – 10AM
  • Shower after being outdoors to remove allergens that may have stuck to you. Use a sterile saline eye wash to flush allergens out of your eyes
