Broccoli: Loaded with Nutrients

th Broccoli is a versatile vegetable that is popular in many cuisines around the world! It is a “dark green leafy vegetable that belongs to Brassica, a plant family that includes kale, cabbage, cauliflower and brussels sprouts. This vegetable was originated in Italy, where the name ‘broccoli’ is derived from the Italian word broccolo, meaning ‘branch’ and was first cultivated in the 17th or 18th century.”

Yes! A branch-y vegetable indeed!?! Around our household, my husband (Litsa’s) always calls broccoli “TREES”! They do look like little trees and they are a magnificent vegetable to enjoy throughout the week. They are loaded in nutrition that will make your body strong—–and will keep it LEAN!
