Dr. Oz created “Dr. Oz’s 5-Day Feel Great Plan” to improve five key aspects of your health: metabolism, immunity, brainpower, sleep habits and how you age.

Day 1 Boost Brain Power Tidbits:

Eat Celery. It contains luteolin, an nutrient that has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and may help prevent the plaque buildup in the brain that can lead to Alzheimer’s.

When you buy celery at the grocery store, take a few added minutes in your kitchen prepping it. You can wash the celery and cut it up. Add it to tupperware bowls and/or Ziploc bags for grab and go snacking. Another way to add more celery into your diet is to drink it! Give Renae’s Apple, Carrot, & Celery Juice recipe a go!

Drink White Tea. It contains theanine, which has been shown to increase the brain wave activity associated with improved attention.

Who doesn’t need added attention in today’s world!?! The smartphone is beeping. The children are calling. The chores are in line. Focusing matters….other types of teas may help you find the calm in your day! Don’t miss reading Wanted: TEA Time as your tea is cooling.

Do Cook with Coconut Oil! It has a type of fat that’s immediately shuttled to your blood for your brain to use as fuel.

If you don’t have any of these items in your refrigerator/pantry, don’t fret! Stress steals the show too. Make a list of what you want to buy. Add them in to the grocery budget and maintain these items as weekly staples because you want to encourage yourself to repeat these mini plans in your days/weeks until they become habits.

Even when you FEEL GREAT, there’s still room to move something new in that might help you boost brain power!

Let’s work in Day One’s plan together!
