Frozen Juice Cubes | Freezing Fresh Squeezed Juice

The other day I had several tangerines that were starting to get past their prime. I knew that I needed orange juice for a recipe a few days down the road so I decided to juice the tangerines. Remember if you roll the citrus fruit first, it will juice easier.

Once I juiced all of the tangerines, I strained the juice to pull out the seeds. I then poured the juice into ice cube trays. Into the freezer they went! Once the juice cubes were frozen, I transferred them to a freezer bag. Each of my juice cubes are about 1.5 Tablespoons of juice. I can use the juice cubes in smoothies or in recipes!

Instead of throwing out old fruit, try to think of a way to preserve it for a later date. This juice cube trick will work with leftover orange juice in a carton too!
