How to Make Homemade Corn Tortilla Chips

Homemade corn tortilla chips are sooo good! Hubby and I used to live a few blocks away from a Mexican restaurant in California that made the best homemade chips. They were made fresh when you ordered which made them even better!

Ingredients:

Corn Tortillas
Vegetable Oil
Seasoning Salt

Cut Corn Tortillas

Stack corn tortillas on top of each other and cut with a knife or pizza cutter into triangles. You should get about 6 triangle shapes per tortilla.

Fry Tortillas

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add tortilla triangles. Cook for a minute or two flipping the chips halfway through cooking. I like my chips barely crispy- cook longer if you prefer a crispier chip.

Drain Chips

Drain the chips on a paper towel and sprinkle with seasoning salt. Serve warm with salsa.

Although I love these chips, I don’t make them that often due to the unhealthy frying. It’s nice to indulge every once in awhile!
