Milk is consumed by many families across the world. What type of milk is currently taking shelter in your refrigerator? Whole milk. 2%. Skim or….almond milk or rice milk? Lately, the variety of milk products has expanded….

I (Litsa) recently tried rice milk since I had a coupon for it that made it almost free! With four or more cartons of rice milk, I had to give it a try or find someone else who might enjoy it!

Why Rice Milk?

I first tried rice milk in an iced coffee. I really couldn’t tell a difference from my whole milk addition. The coffee was still delightful. As I was pouring out the rice milk, I noted that it was very smooth and light—-almost clear!

Next, I tried it in a fruit smoothie with Greek yogurt and I was still pleased with my smoothie.

I’m not sure that I would drink rice milk by itself but using it in my coffee and/or smoothies—-and/or recipes is an option for me especially if I’m buying if for under a quarter (tax only)! Additionally, I like the healthy benefits of rice milk!

How about you? Have your tried rice milk?
