No Mail Saturday!?!

Renae & I (Litsa) both love checking our mailboxes to discover the treasures that await us——magazines, letters, thank you notes, rebate checks, coupons and more! Thus, I know we’ll both miss colorful moments checking our mailboxes on Saturdays after August 2013.

Why? Today’s announcement on the news: “The U.S. Postal Service will stop delivering mail on Saturdays in early August in an effort to cut costs for the financially struggling government agency.”

I’ve always enjoyed the mail and didn’t miss it on Sunday since the Sunday paper and magazines waited for my attention on my day of rest and preparation for my work week. I suppose, I’ll live without running to the mailbox on Saturday too after August. However, I may have serious withdrawals on weeks with Monday holidays—–three days of no mail! I guess I’ll have more time to blog, clip coupons, and read———or just be Mommy, wife, daughter, sister, or….. There’s never a dull moment and I’m sure I’ll easily adapt to no mail Saturdays.

What about you? Will you miss Saturday mail services?
