Panera: Little Bakers Wanted

PaneraOne of our (Litsa’s & daughter) favorite places to eat while traveling and/or shopping out of town is Panera Bread Company. We love to stop in and enjoy their spinach salads and iced shortbread cookies. My daughter loves to guess what type of design the cookies will have (Christmas tree, flower, Easter egg, etc.). We also love to try new dishes and drinks too. The black bean soup and green tea are favorites too!

Panera eatingAfter two Panera visits, I signed up for their Panera Rewards Card (free) and have enjoyed receiving emails about programs they offer and/or items on the menu that we can enjoy with savings with our rewards card. Recently, I received an email about the Bakers in Training program that takes kids ages 5-12 behind the scenes to bake in the Panera kitchen!

Panera says, “For just $20 per child, (which includes a $5 donation to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry® campaign), they’ll get their own hat and apron, stretch and score their own French Baguette, decorate a cookie and more. Space is limited, and classes are filling up fast, so please RSVP soon.”

* Classes available at participating bakery-cafes only. Program good through June 30, 2014. Child must be accompanied by an adult who is 18 years of age or older. Other restrictions may apply.

Do you have a little baker (or eater) that would enjoy a visit baking in Panera’s kitchen!?!
