Stockpile Items for the Fall

canHave you noticed lately that the grocery store ads are reflecting a change in the foods that are on sale? As we move towards colder months, the sales will focus on more canned items and items for baking. This is a great opportunity to stockpile shelf stable items as typically they will be at the lowest price for the year over the next couple of months.

Items to stockpile in the Fall:

Canned Soup
Broth/ Stock
Frozen or Canned Vegetables
Canned Gravy
Evaporated Milk
Stuffing
Beans
Winter Squash
Baking items (Flour, sugar, butter, spices)

I have also noticed a change in the coupons available! I am starting to see more coupons for baking items, soup, broth and frozen vegetables.

Also, keep in mind the list of produce that is in season for the Fall!
