Last week, I was taken refuge inside when the summer heat had subsided and I really wanted to be outside. However, my spider bite medication had me ‘out of the sun’ so I was looking for something to do that didn’t strain my lagging energy levels. Reading was the answer.
A friend suggested this local artist on her Facebook feed. I quickly looked up the book on Amazon and noticed that it had five star reviews. It was free for me to borrow as an Amazon Prime customer. Thus, I began reading Ten Years Taken by Susannah B. Lewis. I read and read and read until I knew her fate.
If you haven’t read this new author’s book, you might want to sample a reading and see if it is for you. As I mom, I couldn’t breath every time the author mentioned the main character’s daughter’s name……it was definitely a page turner. Simple reading that evoked a variety of emotions. simple statements that could become ‘what if’ writing prompts.
What are you reading this season?
