Gardening is a passion of mine. While we mostly focus on our vegetable garden, I do like to have a couple of house plants around. Miracle-Gro has created The Gro Project to simplify gardening. Even if you have never done any gardening before, you can easily replicate these fun garden projects.

I love the Toyrarium idea from The Gro Project. This is an easy project that your kiddos will love! I bet you could make it a seasonal project too! Change out the toys to match the season! You can find the easy step by step instructions for the Toyrarium over at the The Gro Project.

Plant in Boot

My mom recently created the Plant in Boots for a Father’s Day gift. She took an old pair of boots and added sand in the bottom of the boots. The sand will help the boot stand upright. Plaster of paris could also be used for a more solid surface. The next step is to fill a small pot filled with Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix. Did you know that Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Soil absorbs 33% more water than other potting soils? Yes, it will help protect your plant from over and underwatering! The pot you select also needs to have drain holes too. Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix will feed your new plant for 6 months! It’s so important that newly potted plants receive the correct amount of nutrition.

After the potting soil is added to the pot, add a plant to the potting soil and place inside the boot! It’a very rustic way to display your plant!
