Flip Flop Riesling

Today we are headed to Washington for Thirsty Thursday wine tasting! The goal of Thirsty Thursday is to find good and cheap wines for under $10.

I was scouring the wine isle when I came across a display of Flip Flop wine. I remember a friend reviewing this wine a few weeks back and decided for $5.99 a bottle I would give it a try. I picked up the Flip Flop Riesling since I don’t think I have ever had Riesling (remember I am most often a red wine drinker!).

I was a little worried when I got home and realized the bottle had a screw top. It actually worked out well since I couldn’t find the corkscrew!

I actually liked the Flip Flop Riesling better about the 3rd or 4th sip. It’s a medium bodied wine with tastes of peach, melon and apricot. It’s a sweet wine but not too sweet. Flip Flop Riesling finishes nicely and smooth.

Serve Riesling with fish, stir fry or spicy pork. It’s also good as an evening treat!

As always, make sure you drink responsibly.

Do you have a suggestion for a good and cheap wine under $10? Please leave a comment and let me know!
