Tilia Malbec

The goal of Thirsty Thursday is to find good and cheap wines for under $10. Today we are headed to Argentina for Thirsty Thursday wine tasting!

I went out to dinner with my dad last week and had a glass of Tilia Malbec. It was the first time I had Malbec which is popular grape in Argentinian wines. Malbec is known for being full bodied with blackberry, plum and tobacco notes.

The Tilia Malbec was smooth with blackberry and plum flavors. There was a slight sweet spice I noted. It had a nice smooth finish- not bitter at all. The finish lingered- a nice lingering of fruity flavors and soft tannins.

You will need to eat while you drink Tilia Malbec as it contains 13.9% alcohol. It pairs well with grilled meats and salmon. This wine is priced around $7.99 a bottle (I paid about that much for a glass- but it was a special occasion!).

As always, make sure you drink responsibly.
