Virginia Hurricane Preparedness Tax Holiday

Sales Tax Holiday

From May 25th until May 31st, 2011 Virginia is having a tax Holiday for Hurricane and Emergency Preparedness. That means that certain items are tax exempt! If you were planning on purchasing big ticket items like a portable generator, now is the time.

There are several other tax exempt items on the list you might want to stockup on for summer.

Batteries
Blue Ice or Reusable Ice Packs
Flashlights, Glow Sticks
Two Way Radios
Weather Radios
Bungee Cords
Duct tape
Bottled Water
Gas Containers
Smoke Detecters
