Golden Beets

If you are not a fan of beets because they stain everything, then consider trying a golden beet! Red beets are very messy – even when just cutting them! I usually end up with stained fingers when I use red beets for juicing. However, there are no worries about staining when using golden beets.

Golden beets taste a little milder than a red beet too. You can roast golden beets the same way as traditional red beets. The golden beet greens are edible just like the red beet greens. Beets have the highest sugar content of any vegetable so these are sweet!

It’s a little harder to find golden beets but Whole Foods usually carries them. On a rare occasion I have found them at Kroger.

Have you tried golden beets before?
