Are you a thrifty shopper!?! Do you enjoy rummaging through yard sales, thrift stores, Goodwill, & your friends’ closets!?!
I (Litsa) always love a good deal—-and items that hold up! I believe in stretching the dollar. Thus, when spring shines and we get out of the house more, I always enjoy a rummage sale and/or a thrift store sale or two. This past April, my daughter and I enjoyed a half price Saturday at a local Goodwill. Not only did we enjoy the morning out of the house and lunch at a friend’s restaurant but we snagged several pieces of clothing at rock bottom prices!
These summer clothes were name brand clothes—Gap, Land’s End, Maurice’s, etc. and in perfect condition! The bundle of clothes pictured above were perfect for just under $10. Upon arriving home, we removed the tags and washed our new purchases to enjoy wearing throughout the season. We’ll wear our thrift store clothes throughout the rest of spring and into summer while on our vacation in Greece.
In the spring and summer, we tend to sweat more! Therefore having extra clothes to change into is always a plus. We can wear and wash our thrift store finds without worry about ruining costly clothing purchases with our numerous outdoor activities. Additionally, I enjoy carrying a lighter load while traveling. Thus, many of our worn, thrifty finds are left behind on vacation in Greece for locals to enjoy (or use to make rugs, etc. with). Wearing and tossing—$2 finds after getting our money’s worth is a plus for a stress-free summer abroad!
