AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge: Days 4 and 5

Wow! We had a super busy weekend! Saturday consisted of 2 baseball games, yard sales, agricultural day at a local farm and chores around the house. Oh, and I started the day off with a 1 mile run with hills! I finally worked my way up to running a mile without stopping. On a flat course I am sure I could run even longer now but the hills are a fun challenge!

So days 4 and 5 of the AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge have gone pretty smoothly. I have learned a couple of things that will be helpful in the coming days. First, 2 boiled eggs and a piece of fruit is not a good breakfast choice for me. I did that this morning and this was the first time on the challenge that I couldn’t wait until snack. I was hungry! I will stick to my whole grain oats in the morning from now on.

The second challenge was drinking enough water while we were on the go. I took my trusty Tervis tumbler along but looking for a bathroom every hour is difficult. I am hoping my body gets used to this water intake so it’s not such a big deal.

The other thing I determined is that once a week grocery shopping is not going to work any longer. The produce just spoiled too quickly. Since the 24 Day Challenge requires the eating of a lot of fresh produce, I will need to shop two days a week. I can’t wait until our garden starts producing- that will be a big help!

The most exciting news is that the pants I wore today were actually loose around my waist! I did not measure- and I don’t want to until the end- but I can tell that my body is changing for the better. AdvoCare is not a weight lose company per se, it’s a wellness company. On the road to wellness though, I am loosing those extra pounds!

If you are looking to improve your health, make sure you checkout AdvoCare. I am certain you will like their products just as much as I do!

Regarding the 24 Day Challenge…I found eating the hard boiled eggs and fruit was a great mid morning snack. I need that protein early on after my oatmeal.
