Mini Egg

Our new chickens that we purchased last April are now laying eggs! The first eggs from these hen’s are called pullet eggs. They are much smaller than a regular chicken egg. In the picture above, the pullet egg is on the left and the regular egg is on the right. We are happy to see our new girls laying since our older hens will probably start molting very soon.

We have one rooster left from the four we had. He is not aggressive at all. We have also adopted a rooster from our neighbors free ranging chickens. He has taken a liking to our newer girls. He is also not aggressive so we let him stick around!
