Couponing for Community: Starts May 8, 2011

One of the wonderful things about couponing is that often times it allows you to give back to your community. Coupons and store promotions allow us to collect goods that can be donated to food banks, shelters, churches and those in need. Kaley  over at Cha Ching on a Shoestring started Couponing for Community last year in effort to unite couponers all over the United States to make an impact. About 80 bloggers and numerous readers (maybe even some of you!) participated. It was a huge success with thousands of items donated.

This year Couponing for Community will take place from May 8th to May 14th, 2011. Stamp Out Hunger Day is also on May 14th, 2011- which means you could just place your donations for your mail carrier to pick up!

So what are we asking you to do?

This is a great week to start picking up items to donate- Harris Teeter has Super Double Coupons and Kroger will have a Mega Event starting Sunday.
