February announces that love is in the air! There are pinks, reds, whites—-and love notes everywhere! But don’t forget that loving yourself is fundamental in finding renewed energy, radiant skin, disease fighting nutrients, and more! Use February’s platform of LOVE to remind yourself to take care of your body first and foremost so that you can share your talents and love with your family and friends. Begin with red fruits and vegetables but don’t stop there this month. Stay the course with five a day because……

  • Fruit & vegetables contribute to a healthy and balanced diet—which equates to YOU being healthy and balanced. Love your body enough to care about what you are feeding it!
  • Decadent fruits and hearty vegetables are a vital source of vitamins and minerals, including folate, vitamin C, and potassium. IF you can get these in fresh produce and/or juices, who needs pills!?!
  • Raw fruits and vegetables are stripped of additives that you don’t even have to have knowledge of…they are pure and vital for your body! They are low in fat and an excellent source of dietary fiber, which helps maintain a healthy gut and prevent digestive problems.
  • These five a day fruits and vegetables help reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, and some cancers.
  • Red, white, pink—-and all the colors of the earth are love colors—they all taste delicious and there’s a variety to choose from too!

February’s five a day is just the beginning of why we should both choose five a day. Have you had yours today? I (Litsa) have had a banana, an avocado, and a fresh green juice with cranberries, spinach, ginger, lemon, cilantro……if you’re counting and you surpass five a day in February, you’ll already know the secret of  this love affair:

You’ll feel fabulous with five a day!
