M Carrying B

Being a mom is the most rewarding jobs on earth. Although challenging at times, I wouldn’t trade this job for anything! The J&J For All You Love campaign launched this week with a touching video showing the unconditional love of caregivers and moms. Take a moment and watch this beautiful tribute video.

I was asked to share a tribute to someone that I have made sacrifices for. Of course the first people that came to my mind was my boys!

Before having children, I was a person that required eight hours uninterrupted of sleep. Hubby used to laugh when I would head for bed at 9pm! Of course having children changed my whole sleep schedule. I thought I was tired before children but I had no idea what I was talking about! It is a rare occasion that I get my desired eight hours of uninterrupted sleep now. Most nights I am up until 10 or 11pm finishing up work on the blog or projects around the house. And with early rising kids, I am up by 6:30am, even on the weekends. As for the uninterrupted part, between our senior furry children and our boys, I am woken most nights. Last night it was Mr. B sobbing. His nightlight burned out at 3:45 am and he was scared of the dark. Sure it was a pain getting up, but I wouldn’t miss that sweet reassuring hug for anything! Soon enough he was back asleep.

Loss of sleep is so worth being a parent!

M Tying Shoes

I will gladly give up sleep so I don’t miss moments like Capt. M (age 6) carrying Mr. B (age 4) when he is tired. Or moments like Capt. M showing Mr. B how to tie a shoe. Sweet moments energize me!

Encourage other mom’s by sending them a free e-card:

In celebration of Mother’s Day this year, JOHNSON’S® Baby has established JOHNSON’S® Baby CARES Care Cards, a digital e-card platform encouraging moms to share positive messages of encouragement with other moms across the country, while simultaneously supporting Save the Children®.  You can help, too!  Simply pick and share a card filled with messages of reassurance for a Mom in your life on Facebook at http://www.johnsonsbabycares.com. For every card sent, shared or liked, JOHNSON’S®  Baby will donate $1.00 to Save the Children® (up to $150,000) to benefit early childhood education programs that foster education and reassurance for new moms. These cards will not only spread encouragement to Moms throughout the country but will also provide Moms in need with the skills and knowledge to successfully support their child’s growth.

Your post truly warmed my heart. Thank you for writing it. And I thank Dian at http://www.groceryshopforfree.com for sharing your link on Twitter, too!
