Medical Matters: ER Surveys

IMG_2341Tuesday, August 26th, 2014 brought about another learning experience in our lives (Litsa’s family). My husband reported to work as normal. His crew was busy working……he was busy packing up to come home…….but one hard fall and he never made it home. My husband was driven to the emergency room.

Seven hours in the ER before being transported to a local trauma hospital for another 24 hour wait period in their emergency room—–before being admitted to a hospital room for treatment. Now, eleven days post our hospital stay, we are home.

Today, the first hospital survey arrived. IT is at the top of our ‘To Do List” to fill out. The care he received was vital in saving his life. The care that others around us received was important too.

Standing by…sleeping at the hospital…..watching, listening, seeing the care, etc. first hand was comforting when the jobs of the medical staff were fulfilled……when the personal level was on the table……

These medical surveys matter. They are not busy work in my opinion. If feedback is not given, how can anyone and/or a business improve!?!
