Mom of a Sensitive Boy

Here is an updated picture of my two handsome boys- Mr. B age 2 and Capt. M age 4.

I adore their chubby cheeks and dimples! Those adorable cheeks brought out a personality trait in Capt. M I had not seen before.

I was snuggling with Mr. B- kissing those precious cheeks. I stated, “You have the cutest cheeks in the world!”

Capt. M, who was standing across the kitchen, burst into tears. “Why don’t I have cute cheeks?”

I tried to explain that I also thought he had cute cheeks but the damage was done. Fourteen hours later I was tucking Capt. M into bed and he brought up the “cutest cheeks” again. Of course I feel terrible.

Capt. M is so much like his momma- sensitive, shy, emotional and always thinking. Sometimes it is really scary- it’s like looking at a little me.

Do your kids have personalities like your own? How do you deal with sensitive kids?
