FlipFlop Pinot Noir

Today we are headed to my home state of California for Thirsty Thursdaywine tasting! The goal of Thirsty Thursday is to find good and cheap wines for under $10.

I am branching out- Pinot Noir was a new wine varietal for me! With red wines I usually stick to Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon.

I was sent a bottle of FlipFlop Pinot Noir to try and I really enjoyed it! Pinot Noir is a full to medium bodied wine but it is not heavy. It has a lot of flavor and spice but it’s smooth and silky.

FlipFlop Pinot Noir has the aroma of cola and hints of cherry taste. I enjoyed the sweet spice and velvet like feel. It had a nice finish- not bitter at all. I enjoyed my wine with a spicy chicken sausage and it paired very well.

FlipFlop wine is very reasonable- coming in around $5 to $6 a bottle.

Another reason why I love FlipFlop wine is that Soles4Souls donates one pair of shoes for every bottle of wine purchased. Wine for a cause is a great idea!

As always, make sure you drink responsibly.

Make sure you check out Kansas City Mamas to view the other Thirsty Thursday posts!

Do you have a suggestion for a good and cheap wine under $10? Please leave a comment and let me know!

I was provided with a bottle of FlipFlop Pinot Noir to try. All opinions expressed are mine and I was not compensated in any other way! Thanks FlipFlop!
