Rex Goliath Chardonnay

Last week I asked over on the How to Have it All facbook page for recommendations fort his weeks Thirsty Thursday. My friend Julie recommended Rex Goliath Chardonnay. I am not a big white wine drinker but I thought I would give it a try!

Rex Goliath uses the image of a 47 lb. rooster on their bottles of wine! It’s a colorful label with a bit of folklore behind it.

This is a California wine with nice fruity flavors. I like the fact that the Rex Goliath Chardonnay is a light wine- crisp and refreshing. It is said that there are pineapple, tropical fruit and melon flavors. Although it tasted a tad fruity to me, I couldn’t pick out those flavors!

It does have a lengthy aftertaste. I can taste the oak flavors linger on my tongue. It has 13.5% alcohol content and best served with a fish, pasta or chicken.

Rex Goliath Chardonnay retails for about $6.99.

If you missed my past Thirsty Thursday reviews, make sure to check them out! Also make sure to head on over to Kansas City Mamas to check out other Thirsty Thursday cheap wines.

If you have recommendations for wine under $10 please leave a comment!
