Tria Hair Laser Removal: Month 1

So I told you all a couple of weeks ago that I am taking the Tria Hair Removal Challenge. I loath shaving and I am looking forward to less shaving in the near future!

The Tria Hair Removal Laser can only be used every two weeks on the same area. Plus it takes up to six months to achieve the desired results. So this is a marathon- not a sprint! I have successfully completed the first month of treatment on my lower legs. That means I have used the Tria Laser twice on my legs. After this second treatment, it appears that there is less hair growing back. Although I still have a long ways to go in achieving hairless legs!

Does it Hurt?

I am not going to lie, it hurts. But only for a split second! The Tria Hair Removal Laser has 5 levels. It is suggested that you do a test spot starting at level 1 and then slowly increase to the highest level comfortable for you. The literature does say that level 4 and 5 are optimal for faster results. I mostly use level 4 and I can notch it up to level 5 on areas that have thicker skin like my thighs.

The one nice thing is that once you pull the trigger and receive the quick zap, the pain dissipates quickly. There was no lasting sensitivity or any marks left on my skin. And it’s not like I was in agony, it is just uncomfortable.

Time

The Tria Laser is time consuming. The laser tip is small. That means it takes a long time to cover an area like the lower leg. You have to make sure to overlap the previously treated area as you move the laser along to ensure coverage. That’s why I have decided to focus only on my lower legs now. When I have more time, I will try different areas.

The Tria Hair Removal Laser is currently $50 off with coupon code FIFTY through 10/9/12.

Remember I will be giving one away in the next few months too!

Disclosure: I was provided a Tria Hair Removal Laser for review purposes. All opinions expressed are mine.
