Weekly Shopping: Toy & Soda Stock-up

It was an interesting week shopping which resulted in stockpiling toys and soda! First I headed to CVS for the Pepsi product Extra Care Buck (ECB) deal. I ened up getting 12 packages of soda since it worked out to be $1.67 each – the lowest price I have paid. This will last us several months!

I always stock-up on soda when CVS runs these promotions. I refuse to pay more than $2.25 for a 12 pack of soda. Some weeks I notice 12 packs as high as $5.99.

Target

I headed to Target today since toys were 50-75% off. The sale started yesterday so I was not sure what would be left. As you can see, I ended up with a ton of stuff! These items will be used as gifts throughout the year for my boys, nephews and friends of the family.

Target usually has a big toy clearance in July too. That is when I usually buy the kids Christmas presents. This year I have a head start as I have more than enough for their birthdays and Christmas!

Child Bike Helmet – $6.98 (reg. $9.99)
Toddler Character Helmet – $9.98 (reg. $19.99)
(2) Paperoni – $6.48 (reg. $12.99)
Fisher Price Splat Brush TV Game – $11.24 (reg. $44.99)
Polly Pocket Set – $8.74 (reg. $34.99)
(2) Kung Zhu Tracks – $2.24 (reg. $9.04)
Card Game – $1.74 (reg. $6.99)
(2) Atari Games – $4.94 (reg. $19.79)
Starwars Mind Game – $24.98 (reg. $99.99)
Toy Story 3 Set – $17.48 (reg. $69.99)
Toy Story 3 Toy – $8.48 (reg. $33.99)
Lego Set – $9.98 (reg. $19.99)
Cars Geo Trax – $5.02 (reg. $20.09)
Pop On Pals – $8.74 (reg. $34.99)

Total Spent: $141.64 ($7.40 in tax)

Total Saved: $310.40

That is $444.64 worth of toys for just $141.64!

The best thing about both of the shopping trips was that there were no coupons needed– anyone can do this. Shopping ahead of time for gifts and stockpiling items when they are at rock bottom price will save you a ton of money.

How did you do this week? Did you score and great deals?
