pineapple whip

I am always looking for a healthy dessert recipe to make for my kids. Since they like the banana ice cream, I figured they would also enjoy this frozen pineapple treat. There are only three ingredients in this recipe, making it super easy to make. The key to this recipe is using very ripe fresh pineapple and a ripe banana. The fruit will give the whip natural sweetness.

The first step for this easy recipe is to cut a fresh pineapple into chunks. Then freeze the pineapple chunks to make this frosty treat. Also slice a ripe banana into chunks and freeze it.

When the fruit is frozen, put it in a blender. It helps to use a high quality blender such as a Vitamix. If you don’t have a high end blender, make sure you freeze the fruit in small chunks for easier processing. After the fruit is in the blender, add the almond milk. Blend until fruit is smooth and whipped!
