Sunday consisted of a baking and candy making day for me! I spent a good six hours in the kitchen. I think I am more tired from baking than I would be if I went to my regular job! I made peanut brittle, English toffee, coffee cake, sugar cookies, molasses cookies and peanut butter balls. Russian tea cakes are still on my must do list but I just ran out of energy!

So what do I do with all of these treats? I package them up to give as gifts! I made several little gift baskets to give to some of my favorite people in my life. It’s my special way of saying thank you!

Since I am only working Monday and Tuesday of this week, I didn’t come up with a menu plan. I have a busy week ahead as I haven’t wrapped one gift yet! We will most likely have quick meals on Monday and Tuesday like tacos and grilled cheese. Sometimes it’s nice to take a break from the usual dinner plan!
