Are you ready to shed your winter coats—and the dry flaky skin…maybe even move more after the slow paced winter months? You might enjoy a natural, spring detox regimen that isn’t insane. It simply prepares one to get ready for skin-baring season. Dr. Taz featured this list in Prevention‘s magazine in April of 2014. I (Litsa) loved the simplicity of her spring detox that any one of us can encompass in our busy lives.

A Natural Spring Detox List:

  • Clean out the fridge. Begin by tossing all the bad stuff—even ketchup, dressings, etc. can be bad for you. Think through how you use them in your food intake—make small changes. Replace the empty space with fresh, fresh, fresh fruits and vegetables. Cook them, roast them, juice them, or just eat them raw—-five servings a day! Want to jump start the spring detox: Drink 7 ounces of fresh juice daily, and pick 3 days of the week to eat only fruits and vegetables. The antioxidants will emerge through you—from the inside out! The fiber will clean out your colon and you’ll be ready for new workouts and daily chores—a spring in your step per say!
  • Sweat. Anything that makes you sweat will fit in here! Clean up your yard—the garage, the truck, the car….walk, run, do yoga…just MOVE. Through sweating we get rid of impurities! Who needs those!?! Get them out.
  • Scrub your arms and legs. With a dry brush, use gentle strokes to remove winter’s dry skin. Apply a moisturizer—or use coconut oil—or even a sugar scrub that you can make yourself! Scrub, scrub, scrub until you see the dead skin fall off (or literally feel it falling off)!

Enjoy your spring detox and the long days of sunshine with a renewed sense of a healthier, more natural YOU!
