Are you interested in using fresh juices as a detoxifying or invigorating process!?! When many think about juicing, they tend to lean towards juicing to cleanse—-these juice fasts with no solid food are not what we utilize and/or stand behind here at How to Have it All.

Both Renae and I (Litsa) use juice to supplement many other healthy options in our lives—–and we DO NOT use juice to replace meals. We EAT solid foods. If you are eager to lose weight fast and/or use fresh juices to detox, we recommend that you speak with your doctor before venturing out on this regimen.

Last year, we co-authored a post about Juicing Questions Answered that you can revisit this year as you search for juicing information. As you determine what juices you want to drink and/or which recipes to follow, let us both encourage you to play around with the juicer. Find one or two “GO to Juices” that you absolutely love and then begin drinking!

After a year of juicing daily (besides when I wasn’t home), I (Litsa) have opted to drink green juices that vary each time but I have found that I love spinach, lemons, and cilantro in all of my juices. I don’t often drink beet juice or lean towards bitter greens like kale—or peppers or jalapeno peppers. I can only remember one juicing session that I tossed in fresh garlic. I usually toss in what I like and a little of what I find on sale each week at the grocery store (apples, pears—always a toss in due to great sales)!?!

Throughout 2015, I’m continuing a juicing challenge and want to try a vast array of juices——detoxifying juices and invigorating juices whether they are just apples & ginger or lemons & limes—or beet detox juices. Will I follow set recipes!?! Maybe. Or maybe not! I love the element of surprise especially when I come home with a bag of fresh cranberries for $0.50—it’s great to toss them in the juicer and see what happens!
